Medical necessity criteria
We want to make sure you get the right kind of care. This means that your provider may need to get prior authorization for some medical services.
If so, your provider would give us information about the service. Moda Behavioral Health's team of licensed clinicians would look at the information. They would consider your personal condition and decide if this is the best treatment for you. Our clinicians make these decisions according to medical necessity criteria. We created these criteria by using evidence-based standards of care.
Below are the mental health and chemical dependency services that have medical necessity criteria:
- Applied Behavior Analysis
- Substance Use Disorder-Levels of Care
- Eating Disorders
- Long-Term Psychotherapy
- Inpatient Mental Health
- Mental Health Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment
- Psychiatric Residential Treatment-Children, Adolescents and Adults
- Reactive Attachment Disorder
- Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
