If you are a member with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needs, you may have the option to choose or change to a preferred DME provider that may help you save costs on your DME prescriptions.
DME includes things like breast pumps, CPAP, wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen, and diabetic or ostomy supplies. They are durable because they last a long time. They don’t get used up like medical supplies.
We have recently partnered with preferred DME providers. Our preferred providers have agreed to the best contracted rates on many products that may help you save money on your DME prescription. When you order through a preferred provider in your network, you may see cost savings.
Just follow these easy steps to find a preferred DME provider in your network:
If you are a member with recurring needs and are already set up with standard or automated billing with a provider, you can change your recurring prescription to a preferred DME provider. Just contact your current DME provider and the preferred DME provider to request the change.
Effective Jan. 1, 2019, all individual medical plans are Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO) plans and will have no out-of-network coverage. To ensure you are covered, you will need to choose a contracted DME provider that is in your network.
